Losing Weight: Start Where You Are

There is no better time to start losing weight than right now.  Every day you delay, is one less day of living healthier at the end of the journey.  When we have more than 100 pounds to lose, it can seem almost an impossible task and we can feel like giving up before we have even begun.  Don’t let yourself believe that.  If we can successfully gain 100 pounds, we can certainly take the steps to release those 100 pounds.

Whether losing weight for you means losing 10 pounds or 50 pounds or 150 pounds, a pound is a pound for each of us.  Making a decision you are going to begin is the most important step to beginning.  After making the decision, you next need to commit to the decision.

Being interested to doing something, means you do it when it is convenient.

Being committed to doing something, means you do it no matter what.

When are talking about 100 pounds of unhealthy weight,  being interested is not enough.  Success requires a commitment.  Not a commitment to being perfect, but to making better choices every day.

Sometimes making the decision means getting really clear on your WHY.  Why do you want to lose weight?  How will your life be different?  What is motivating you at this time to be considering losing weight?

Step 1 is sit down and clearly write out your why.  Your why if true enough and deep enough will make you cry.  That is a good thing.  Your why needs to be big enough to get you over the challenges and hurdles you will face.  Start now….
